Yamaha Returns to Nigeria with CFAO

YAMAHA Japan, renowned motorcycle, outboard engine and generator maker has returned to Nigeria, ten years after leaving the country. Yamaha, was in the past, represented by John Holt but has found a new and reliable partnership in CFAO Yamaha Nigeria Limited, a member of the CFAO Group.

Speaking on the new partnership, the Managing Director of Yamaha CFAO, Mr. Olivier Levigne told newsmen at the just concluded Lagos International Trade Fair, that CFAO Yamaha was using the opportunity provided by the fair to announce the return of Yamaha to Nigeria by displaying full range of Yamaha products.

The products on display included, different models of motorbikes like Presidential power bikes, Ladies motorcycle, Sport bikes, three wheelers, outboard engines, generator, lubricants, All Terrain Vehicle (Viking) among others. According to the Managing Director, CFAO Yamaha had already commenced the assembling of Yamaha motorcycles in its Amuwo Odofin plant with the aim of delivering quality motorcycles to Nigerians .

Also speaking during the occasion, the Marketing Director who is also the Deputy Managing Director of the company, Mr. Hisashi Fuji explained that the return of Yamaha to the Nigerian market was as a result of the confidence they have in the country.

“We came back because the market is big and there is great potentials in the future”the  Deputy Director stated. He highlighted the unique attributes of Yamaha products to include durability, ruggedness, economical with availability of spare parts and ease to maintain.

“We meet peoples need for transport, fishery, and pleasurable rides,”adding that Yamaha racing bike is ranked among the very best in the world. According to him, the Yamaha Lubricant being introduced into the market for the servicing of their motorcycles and generators last very long.
