Coscharis Motors, representatives of Jaguar Land Rover in Nigeria, recently demonstrated the outstanding qualities of the two brands during its Jaguar Land Rover ‘Ride and Drive,’ event at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos. The ‘Ride and Drive’ which has become an annual event in the calendar of Jaguar Land Rover in Nigeria was attended by Jaguar Land Rover customers, the motoring press and prospective customers of the brand.

On hand to demonstrate the capabilities and ride quality of the Jaguar and Land Rover models were driving instructors from Jaguar Land Rover Sub-Saharan African headquarters from South Africa.

The one-day event saw Coscharis Motors rollout the full range of the two premium brands for the exercise, including the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Autobiography, Range Rover Evoque, Land Rover Discovery Sport and Land Rover Discovery, all luxury Sport Utility Vehicles.

From the Jaguar line up were the Jaguar XJ (flagship sedan), XF, XE and its the powerful Sport car, the F-Type. Visitors to the ‘Ride and Drive’ event were amazed at the drive qualities of the cars which were tested on braking, manoeuvrability, take off, and overall handling.

Mr. Emeka Nwankwo, one of the visitors who attended the event told Vanguard Motoring  that he reluctantly accepted to be at the event on the invitation of a friend but will be leaving the venue with a different impression about the Jaguar and Land Rover models.

“The comfort level of these cars are above industry standard,” he said, after taking a close look and ride in the white Range Rover Autobiography at the venue. Though he said he had never driven any of the Jaguar Land Rover model before, he simply said “Today, Jaguar Land Rover has gotten a potential customer”.
