As the ’ember’ months get under way, the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Akwa Ibom State has warned that motorists who overload their vehicles would be apprehended and sentenced instantly after trial in the corps’ mobile court.

Information Officer of Akwa Ibom State Command of the FRSC, Mr. Godsgift Owen, disclosed this, yesterday, during an interaction with Vanguard in his office in Uyo, noting that during Yuletide, commercial motorists were in the habit of overloading their vehicles thereby endangering the lives of commuters.

To curb the excesses of motorists in this season, Owen said the Command of had commenced aggressive enlightenment campaigns and as such would demand maximum cooperation and compliance with road-safety regulations.
